Hi! I’m Michael, founder of Christopher Street Tours. I’m a historian, speaker, educator, and New York City tour guide who has spent my career uplifting and sharing stories of LGBTQ+ pioneers and activists. My passion for the representation and visibility of LGBTQ+ history led to the creation of Christopher Street Tours in 2018. We’ve since welcomed thousands of people from all across the globe to our Christopher Street Tours community.
From the moment I embarked on my inaugural tour, a profound realization dawned upon me: the hunger for knowledge and the desire to uncover LGBTQ+ narratives extend far beyond my personal curiosity. People from all over the world and from all walks of life began expressing interest in joining our tours, propelling the growth of Christopher Street Tours to new heights. The resounding support and participation of our community wanting to learn more about their own history amplified the impact and expansion of our mission.
In the present day, we take immense pride in being recognized as the foremost provider of LGBTQ+ walking tours in New York City. In 2024, we expanded into Boston area with a new LGBTQ+ walking tour of Cambridge. Our offerings encompass captivating neighborhood walking tours, immersive virtual and in-person presentations, and engaging speaking engagements, all designed to showcase the rich history and culture of the LGBTQ+ community. We have embraced and fostered a global community within Christopher Street Tours, welcoming thousands of individuals from every corner of the world. It is with profound gratitude and utmost honor that I dedicate my life’s work to sharing this transformative journey with you.
